Bible Studies at Saint Matthew's

Bible Studies provide an opportunity for small group discussion of the scriptures as they apply to the people and time they were written as well as what they mean in today's world.  There are four Bible Study groups at St. Matthew's.  All Bible Studies meet during the program year, from mid-September through early/mid-June.  New participants are welcome throughout the year.

 

Daytime:

          Women's Bible Study, Wednesdays, 10 a.m..  Led by Pr. Tarja Stevenson, the Women's Bible Study discusses the scripture lessons from the lectionary for the upcoming Sunday.  Daytime Bible Study, Thursdays, 10 a.m.  Led by Pr. David Bohannon, this group discusses the scripture lessons from the lectionary for the upcoming Sunday.  This study is open to all adults.

 

Evening:

Men's Bible Study, Sundays 7 p.m.  Led by Pr. David Bohannon this group discusses various aspects of the scriptures and daily living.

Women's Evening Study Group, 3rd Monday of month, 7:30 p.m. This group meets in participants' homes and is facilitated by participants.  Recent studies completed include The Screwtape Letters by C.S. Lewis, a study of the book of Psalms from the Kerygma Bible Study series and the Listening for God series with discussion of God's presence in contemporary literature.

 

With the exception of the Women's Evening Study Group, all Bible Studies meet at the church.
